The Greatest Show on Dirt will return to Grand Forks on August 23rd for the Second Leg of the Northern Tour, also presented by Gerdau. Racing communities throughout the Red River Valley learned and were saddened by the news of the passing of another of its most impactful fixtures, Don Mack. Mack was born in 1939 and battled in football in his high school years at left tackle. But it was while attending Grand Forks Speedway at the behest of friend Curt Sobolik where racing became his supreme passion. Mack's first car was purchased the very next week for $150, competing for the first time during the 1959 season.
